Simply slip it on and instantly get the perfect hips. Introducing an elegant girdle that creates the ideal silhouette.
ROSIER has finally released the long-awaited "girdle"! We interviewed lingerie director Keiko about the story leading up to the product's completion. We asked her about ROSIER's manufacturing commitment, the inside story behind the creation of this girdle, and recommended points.
-Keiko has been leading ROSIER's manufacturing since its launch and is something of a lingerie expert.
I have been a product development director in the lingerie industry for many years, and at ROSIER I have been directing and designing lingerie products since its launch.
It is not uncommon for a brand that starts out with apparel to branch out into lingerie as well, but in these cases, it seems that many of the brands releasing lingerie place an emphasis on appearance and fashionability.
So when I first discussed the brand concept with Kojima-san, I remember being surprised at how strongly she wanted to create functional lingerie.
I wanted to create not just stylish lingerie for special occasions, but functional pieces that people would want to wear every day... I thought that specialized knowledge of lingerie making was essential to realize Kojima-san's vision. I joined the brand because I wanted to help shape that idea.
-ROSIER's classic "Everyday" series is the kind of lingerie you'll want to wear every day.
ROSIER's items, including the "Everyday" bra, which is non-wired but still provides a firm bust, are filled with Kojima's desire to "provide items with a full body-shaping function that will give the wearer confidence." Of course, the products are also sprinkled with Kojima's signature design essence that brings out femininity, and I think that this balance is a major attraction of ROSIER.
-Speaking of ROSIER, it seems that they had been planning girdles from the very beginning of the brand.
When I thought about making lingerie that emphasizes functionality, girdles were an item that I absolutely couldn't leave out. From the early days, Kojima and I had been talking about making one at ROSIER someday.
Girdles are items that act as a "foundation" that sets the body. Therefore, compared to bras and shorts, they tend to have simpler designs, and people tend to think "I don't really need to wear them," but they are just as essential as bras and shorts when it comes to body shaping. With the release of girdles, I think we have laid the foundation for people to know ROSIER as a more authentic lingerie brand.
-It seems that development took quite a long time, with production having to be halted at one point.
A year ago, we were working on a different prototype from the one we released this time, but it was difficult to get close to our ideal due to the fabric we wanted to use, design constraints, and cost balance, so we were forced to discontinue development. However, when we released the shapewear bra shaper last year, customers were pleased with it, and we also received a lot of feedback from customers that they wanted a girdle at that time, so after several meetings as a team, we decided to try again.
The manufacturing process itself was completely revised to achieve a good balance between design, functionality, and price, resulting in the current specifications that incorporate a "hip-up panel" to enhance your figure.
Kojima and the team agonized over the choice of fabric, taking into account various aspects such as comfort and appearance, until the very last moment, but in the end we decided on a basic fabric that feels good against the skin, so that everyone would want to use it every day.
-After going through all that, what are the best things about "Perfect Hip Girdle" that was finally born?
During development, we interviewed our internal team and others, and found that while many people own a girdle, few wear them on an ongoing basis. When we asked why, we heard things like, "The girdle is too tight, so they don't get used to wearing it," or, on the other hand, it's too soft, so they don't feel like they have any shape, and they just wear it as underwear..." We wanted it to be something that could be used on an everyday basis, but also had the functionality to create a beautiful butt, so we were particular about finding the right balance when we created it. I think we've created the ideal girdle, which is comfortable to wear and yet lifts the hips well.
Moreover, Kojima's attention to detail is in finding a balance between functionality and design, a characteristic of ROSIER. How can we add elegance without sacrificing practicality, such as "not showing through the bottom" and "not being see-through"? We wondered and decided to use a rose river lace motif. By layering a sheer power net like a veil, we were able to prevent the lace from showing through while also adding an elegant nuance.
- I tried it on myself and was impressed with the perfect shape and, above all, how it made me look slimmer! I'd recommend that people who have never worn a girdle try it too.
If you have concerns about your buttocks being too big, too small, or too saggy, or if you have a protruding belly, or if you want to have a more attractive body line, I highly recommend you try them on! You'll definitely receive compliments and feel more confident.
Many people have the habit of taking care of their face and bust, which are visible to the naked eye, but many people tend to neglect their buttocks, which are not visible to the naked eye. Even if you don't have any particular concerns, you should definitely try wearing a girdle to maintain the beautiful buttocks you have now. Just like wearing a bra every day, wearing a girdle every day from a young age can also help prevent sagging hips.
It shows that any worries or complexes you have about your body can be made more beautiful by taking care of them. As the catchphrase says, "Just put it on and you'll have perfect hips instantly," so we hope you'll experience a beautiful hip line.
